Anyone can view and download data on HDX, however registered users have access to more features. After signing up you can:

Ask questions about datasets 

You can send messages to organisations through the ‘Contact the Contributor’ form.

Request access to sensitive datasets

Some datasets on HDX are only made available after sending a request to the organisation through the ‘HDX Connect’ form. 

Get updates on data

When you ‘follow’ a dataset, organisation or location, you will be notified about updates in the newsfeed of your user dashboard. 

Share data

If you want to share data on HDX, you will need to associate your account with an approved organisation or request to create a new organisation. To do this, click on the ‘Add Data’ button on HDX after signing up and follow the prompts.
